HANGARMUSIK in Hamburg 30 years of the “Deutsche Nationalstiftung”

At the invitation of the Managing Director of the “Deutsche Nationalstiftung”, Dr Agatha Klaus, and the Board of Directors, we were able to make another trip from 1 to 3 October, this time to Hamburg, where celebrations for German Unity Day took place.

As part of the “Deutscher Stiftungstag”, the “Deutsche Nationalstiftung” hosted its anniversary celebrations in the historic house of the Patriotic Society, Hamburg's oldest civic association.

Hangarmusik contributed two musical performances towards the celebrations. The famous "Ode to Joy", by Ludwig Beethoven, was the grand finale During this piece, all the guests gathered in the hall sang along together, a moving moment for the audience and the young musicians.

Among those present were former Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert, former Deutsche Bahn CEO Rüdiger Grube, CDU Chairman Friedrich Merz and former Federal President Horst Köhler, who expressed his enthusiasm for the performance in person afterwards.
