Thanks to the support of the Willy Robert Pitzer Foundation, HANGARMUSIK was invited to participate in the international youth orchestra festival Podium Zukunft, where it collaborated with NEOJIBA and MIAGI. The encounter fostered a rich cultural and social exchange among young musicians from three continents.
HANGARMUSIK’s Leila Weber directed the program. In addition to Peter Warlock’s „Capriol Suite“, Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Les Sauvages, and Jean Sibelius’s Impromptu, she conducted the public premiere of our own composition, „HM Opus 2 – Memory of Barjac“.
Brigitte Täubl conducted Francesco Geminiani’s „La Follia“.
For the first time, two songs specially arranged for HANGARMUSIK by Nigel Shore were debuted: Gustav Mahler’s „Liebst du um Schönheit“ and Richard Strauss’s „Morgen“, sung by Sarah Längle.
